Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA)-12 lessons with Dr Lam - recommended by CDC (Scroll down to see the free first lesson)
In 1996, Dr Lam with a team of medical and tai chi experts created this safe and easy to learn program. Medical studies confirm Tai Chi for Arthritis relieves pain, reduces falls and improves quality of life, that is why the Arthritis organisations around the world advocate this program and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (www.CDC.gov) recommends it for fall prevention.
What is special about this DVD is that you will feel as though you are participating in Dr Lam’s class. After a brief introduction of what Tai Chi for Arthritis is and how this DVD can benefit you, Dr Lam will teach you with step-by-step instructions, lead you to practice and explain the reason behind every move. At the conclusion of the DVD Dr Lam will demonstrate the set from both front and back views. The unique music was composed with the rhythm and energy especially for this program!
It presents the entire program including warm up and cool down in a user friendly format. Dr Lam incorporates the tai chi principles to enhance your understanding and enjoyment.

I have been teaching TCA for over 5 years now and use the dvds for revision before each class. The instructions are so clear and easy to navigate. The dvd keeps me on track and reminds me of the principles of Tai Chi. I also keep some dvds for my students to purchase and encourage them to use the dvd for practice.

The purchase of the DVD Tai Chi for Arthritis is the beginning of a wonderful new adventure of learning in a positive calm atmosphere strengthening my body and the benefits that will flow as I practice.
I am thrilled with the quality and the clarity of the instructions. Being able to follow the sessions as many times as needed is an advantage absorbing more each time. Dr Lam has a very good presentation very calming in the way he presents the sessions.
I'm learning to take life at a slower pace instead of always being in a rush.
I certainly will continue with the exercises and hope to become more proficient in the journey.
Thank you Dr. Lam.

The DVD picture quality is much better than I was expecting.
Dr Paul Lams instructions are clear and easy to understand.
At first it seems slow but this makes it easy to follow.

I am thrilled with the 3 DVD's that I purchased. Tai Chi for Beginners, Seniors and for Arthritis. Dr Lam's soothing voice and slow pace, makes it easy to learn the lessons and it's so easy to replay each one till it's familiar. I will definitely continue with this wonderful form of exercise.

Well it took the pandemic to make me get out this DVD that I had bought a few years ago. I would recommend this to anyone who has arthritis and would like gentle strength building exercise.
I have been protecting an ankle with osteo-arthritis, and in so doing, had lost flexibility and developed a wobbly gate. I have now regained strength in the opposite knee, and my gate and balance have improved markedly.
The lessons can be done as a whole, or completed in parts. This is great, because when you need more practice in a new form, you can do it over and over again until you are confident. Also, though it's recorded, Dr Lam has a kind and patient presence, which almost makes it feel like he's in the room with you.
I have bought 2 copies of the DVD for friends, and recommended it to my sister. Once I have finished this series of lessons, I will be buying Tai Chi for Arthritis 2.

Congratulations Dr Lam on your presentation of Tai Chi for Arthritis. Your slow, clear explanation of Tai Chi movements makes it easily understood by us beginners. A most valuable product. Thank you.

I bought this DVD for one of my students in my beginners' class. She loves coming to Tai Chi and wanted to be able to practise at home with the DVD as well. She has found it easy to follow, with clear instructions and appreciates Paul's gentle approach to learning. It is enriching her total Tai Chi experience so far and there is certainly an improvement in her movement at class each week.
