Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA)-12 lessons with Dr Lam - recommended by CDC (Scroll down to see the free first lesson)

In 1996, Dr Lam with a team of medical and tai chi experts created this safe and easy to learn program. Medical studies confirm Tai Chi for Arthritis relieves pain, reduces falls and improves quality of life, that is why the Arthritis organisations around the world advocate this program and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (www.CDC.gov) recommends it for fall prevention.

What is special about this DVD is that you will feel as though you are participating in Dr Lam’s class. After a brief introduction of what Tai Chi for Arthritis is and how this DVD can benefit you, Dr Lam will teach you with step-by-step instructions, lead you to practice and explain the reason behind every move. At the conclusion of the DVD Dr Lam will demonstrate the set from both front and back views. The unique music was composed with the rhythm and energy especially for this program!

It presents the entire program including warm up and cool down in a user friendly format. Dr Lam incorporates the tai chi principles to enhance your understanding and enjoyment.

  1. Tai Chi for Arthritis. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th May 2013

Thanks very much to Dr. Paul Lam for making this video available. I have found that having the comfort of lessons in my own home is extremely valuable. I was diagnosed with Tennis Elbow and also small spurs in the same area. These exercises are extremely beneficial and I have found that after 4 weeks practice the pain I was experiencing has decreased to almost non existent. As I am only up to lesson 3 I am sure there will be further improvements as I follow this gentle path to healing.

I did not realise how active this DVD would be. It has assisted with balance and relaxation. I fully recommend this DVD, I have also purchased it for a few friends whom also enjoy the relaxation of it.

I learn't this tai Chi about 10 years and due to surgery was unable to continue. I'am in a much better place now, so decided to order the DVD. I have found it to be excellent and would recommend it to anyone. The content is easy to follow and Dr Lams explaination is great.

I am very pleased with the Tai Chi for Arthritis DVD. It is very easy to follow as Dr Lam gives clear instructions and demonstrates the moves at a nice gentle pace which is easy to follow.

I enjoy being able to do the exercises at home in my own time.

  6. Tai Chi for Arthritis dvd helps MS sufferrers too! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Nov 2012

I have MS and I must say the lessons and advise is fabulous for me and my disability.

I just did what was advised and started doing the lessons sitting down and after wspending a week on each one, I can now stand for them and do them all (albeit not prefectly) but standing and less rushed all the same.

I must tell the MS Society in the UK about this dvd. :o)

  7. I Can Feel It Doing Me Good! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Oct 2012

I am only up to Lesson Two of Dr Lam's Tai Chi for Arthritis but I can already feel that I will benefit greatly from this product. I like the way each lesson is divided into easily found sections for practice sessions, and I particularly enjoy Dr Lam's gentle approach to teaching. I was in exercise classes for the elderly but felt that they were too forceful for my fibromyalgia and arthritis. Tai Chi seems to be just right, with the warming up and cooling down exercises an excellent safety measure for students.

    Thank you Dr Lam!

  8. Easy to learn. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Apr 2012

The TCA DVD is like having Dr. Lam as your personal instructor with no distractions from others. His teaching is easy to learn especially when he breaks down a movement into smaller parts. I love the front-on and back-on demonstrations so you can follow along. I've tried learning from other DVD's but got sooooo confused. There is no confusion with Dr. Lam. Just take the break down of a movement one at a time and practice, practice, practice.

  9. Tai Chi for Arthritis 2 Discs 4 Star Review

This DVD is awesome! I am a fairly new instructor teaching my second 6 week series of classes. The 12 lessons DVD is helping me improve greatly and my students love it.
