Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA)-12 lessons with Dr Lam - recommended by CDC (Scroll down to see the free first lesson)

In 1996, Dr Lam with a team of medical and tai chi experts created this safe and easy to learn program. Medical studies confirm Tai Chi for Arthritis relieves pain, reduces falls and improves quality of life, that is why the Arthritis organisations around the world advocate this program and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (www.CDC.gov) recommends it for fall prevention.

What is special about this DVD is that you will feel as though you are participating in Dr Lam’s class. After a brief introduction of what Tai Chi for Arthritis is and how this DVD can benefit you, Dr Lam will teach you with step-by-step instructions, lead you to practice and explain the reason behind every move. At the conclusion of the DVD Dr Lam will demonstrate the set from both front and back views. The unique music was composed with the rhythm and energy especially for this program!

It presents the entire program including warm up and cool down in a user friendly format. Dr Lam incorporates the tai chi principles to enhance your understanding and enjoyment.

    Excited to begin

Posted by Jack on 2nd Mar 2017

This is the second DVD I am trying for Tai Chi. The first one I gave up on almost immediately. The instructor in the first DVD was simply doing his routine and expected one to follow through, however there was very little instruction. With Dr.Paul I could see the difference very quickly and was immersed about learning more and quite pleased with the ease of instruction. I am now going through lesson three and practice daily. Once I finish all the lessons I look forward to starting another series. Thank you Dr Paul for your ease of teaching and inspiration.

i found the dvd very thorough, and after doing a 8 weeks course with ed. It was good to revise at home, I noticed things on the dvd I did not pick up in class and was able to improve my practice.

    Must Have DVD

Posted by Maxine Ebdon on 10th Dec 2016

This is a great DVD for teachers and beginners alike. A must have DVD for use before classes and easy for beginners to understand and use to keep abreast of class work at home. As a teacher I would not like to be without this reference, it is very easy to miss important steps if I do not continue to review the forms I want to teach with safety and consideration for my students.

    Must have instructional DVD

I teach TCA and recommend that all my participants purchase the DVD. Not only is it a learning tool for them, I review the lessons prior to teaching a new form.

I go to a class at my local community centre, the DVDs re-enforces what I have learned. Dr Lam is easy to follow and makes the lessons a joy.

A great backup with weekly classes

Posted by Gael Matthias on 10th Mar 2016

I attend weekly Tai Chi classes at my regular physiotherapist rooms. Because the attendees are well over 60, they base their classes on this DVD, to improve balance and flexibility in later years. Having the DVD at home makes it possible to practice during the week.
