Tai Chi for Arthritis (TCA)-12 lessons with Dr Lam - recommended by CDC (Scroll down to see the free first lesson)

In 1996, Dr Lam with a team of medical and tai chi experts created this safe and easy to learn program. Medical studies confirm Tai Chi for Arthritis relieves pain, reduces falls and improves quality of life, that is why the Arthritis organisations around the world advocate this program and the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (www.CDC.gov) recommends it for fall prevention.

What is special about this DVD is that you will feel as though you are participating in Dr Lam’s class. After a brief introduction of what Tai Chi for Arthritis is and how this DVD can benefit you, Dr Lam will teach you with step-by-step instructions, lead you to practice and explain the reason behind every move. At the conclusion of the DVD Dr Lam will demonstrate the set from both front and back views. The unique music was composed with the rhythm and energy especially for this program!

It presents the entire program including warm up and cool down in a user friendly format. Dr Lam incorporates the tai chi principles to enhance your understanding and enjoyment.

A Tai Chi Day is a Happy Day!

Posted by Claire on 30th Jan 2018

I truly enjoyed my Tai Chi For Arthritis DVD as it was clear, simple and easy to understand. Already I feel my daily practice is improving and can't wait to do the workshop to improve my skills. I have found that reading my latest book "Teaching Tai Chi Effectively" is full of helpful informations and it is making me feel better equipped for that very first day when I start teaching. I look forward to meeting Dr Lam and all the members at the workshop in July. Everybody I have spoken to so far from the Tai Chi For Health Institute has been very helpful and friendly. Thank you,

    Thank you Dr Lam

I am self conscious and though I have wanted to study Tai Chi for a number of years I have never found the courage to even discuss it with my wife. Late last year I started to make a couple of enquires into local groups but always found an excuse to avoid committing to actually going. Then by chance I came across the website for Dr Lam and after trying the free lessons for both beginners and arthritis I decided to purchase the beginners DVD as I am only 41 and do not have arthritis. It was awesome and I loved doing it!! So I was going to grab the 24 forms but there was something in the style of the arthritis lesson that had just captured me so I grabbed it instead. I am loving it, the pace and instructions are superb. Thank you so much Dr Lam with out your free lessons and your marvellous dvds I doubt I would ever have experienced the joy I get from practicing Tai Chi.

    Student Home Practice

Posted by Julie Hutchinc on 9th May 2017

Thankyou Dr Paul Lam for a fabulous resource. My students enjoy using this DVD for home practice. This DVD is particularly suited for those who want to continue learning at home to assist their current health. The DVD being used for Taichi home practice ensures Taichi acts as a preventative against further health issues. Our body, mind and spirit enjoy our TaiChi practice.

    Very Informative and Clear

Posted by Unknown on 25th Apr 2017

The DVD was much more informative and helpful than an earlier DVD I had borrowed on the same topic. More time was taken to explain the moves and the reason behind many of the positions

TCA dvd is really just like having a private tutor .

Posted by tracey simic on 8th Mar 2017

TCA dvd is really just like having Paul in your lounge to explain and demonstrate every part of the form. The extra info on breathing , safety and other usefull information makes it a valuable resource. many of my students have copies so they can practice at home and I keep some spares for anyone wanting a copy. Highly recommended.

I found these instructions by Dr Lam to be excellent, he explains very clearly and he is easy to follow. Unfortunately my Recorder will not read Disc 1, but will read Disc 2.
