Tai Chi 4 Kidz

Just received copies of the new DVD Tai Chi 4 Kidz. We will be sending a copy to our grandaughter and have one for the kids I treat in a residential treatment center, too. I am looking forward to watching TCC's impact on those little darlings.

I like the way the warm-ups integrate into the form itself, very cool. Paul and the other teacher have the appropriate enthusiasm for the age group and I suspect this one will prove to be a winner! Thanks,

thanks richard, we have a lot of fun doing it. but the concept took six years to develop so even though it looks flowing and simple, like my other programs, we plan, test and sought input from everywhere.

i am very excited to offer something that can help kids, it is so important because they are the future and have so many more years to benefit from tai chi.

we have changed our teaching methods and practice expectation for kids. even if they try it, like it, they will come back sooner or later. we dont expect them to practice as regular as we do. Although Rachel, our star in the DVD, is only 13, and she has done tai chi for 5 years. She just become the grand champion of 18 and under of the Oceania Wushu and Tai Chi Competition. we are very proud of her.

Cheryl's daughter is a house nanny looking after 5 years old Emma and 4 years old Scottie. As she makes breakfast, Emma and Scottie watch the Tai Chi for Kidz DVD, they have written me this very neat letter of what they think about the DVD.

I've always been interested in a Tai Chi program for children. I'm very excited about Dr. Lam's Tai Chi 4 Kidz, I watched it and was thrilled to see such a wonderful program geared to children and the ways of effectively teaching, but in a fun and imaginative way.I'll be teaching to kids camps this sumer, ages 8-12 wish me well. I'll let you know how it went.

Please let us know how it goes. I plan to do a trial of TC4K in some kids in our treatment programs too.

Smile another class

Dr. Lam Thanks agian for your DVD training videos. Another class has been started at our church. Peolpe young and old find your method of teaching easy to learn and quickly rewarding. One women, a second grade teacher, discussed with her class that she had attended a Tai Chi class she showed them the comencing form and a brush knee. She relayed to me the children wanted more so I suggested Tai Chi 4 kidz. She was pleased to learn your scope of teaching videos. Kudos.

At the end of March I became an adoptive mum to a bright happy little boy of two and a half called Matthew.

Wanting something active I could do with him, I bought Tai Chi 4 Kidz. I do Tai Chi any way and wanted something easier and less formal than the Traditional Yang Style Long Form I do.

Although he is still young for any formal teaching, we watched the DVD. As with all my tai chi stuff that we have watched together, Matthew joined in. he had fun and found that he could do quite a few of the moves.

My DVD is currently with the childminder who wanted something to do with her charges on wet days. Her 15 year old daugher and the other boy who is 9 are realy enjoying the new exercises and games, so it looks like in the near future I will be buying another DVD!

I try to practice in the garden as often as I can, and Matthew often joins me, and is gaining better co-ordination and balance!

Thanks for this and all the other great DVDs I've had from you...

Tai Chi 4 Kids

I find whenever young children are near, when my class practice, we always get participation. The children are more animated than us and we learn much from THEM!! - - - relaxing with the movements, being natural and not to get embarassed when you make a mistake. I went through the DVD and took the practice bac to my Adult class and they had great fun with it. Just shows that you can always learn new ways to play Tai Chi

I attended the Tai Chi 4 Kidz workshop in Bradenton, FL (May 2007). It was a great workshop and the attendees included some educators, rather than just the usual tai chi crowd. It was great to share ideas and get some new perspectives on ways to use and teach this form. Thanks Susan for arranging such a wonderful workshop!

I had an ADHD patient doing "slow motion" in my office a couple weeks ago, so I had him follow me to do the first block and the block with kicks. He and his mom got such a kick out of it that they planned to order a video! Both kids and their parents can benefit from the form and an opportunity to learn and play together!
