A very readable and informative book on Diabetes and the help which tai chi can offer to manage this condition. Both sections of the book provide clear and easy to follow explanations, written in everyday language.

One of my tai chi pupils bought the book for their diabetic husband, who had never tried tai chi. He read the entire book in one weekend, and has now decided to enrol in a tai chi class and buy the TCD DVD, surely a great recommendation!

Organized, convincing, and inspirational book for people with diabetes. Easy to follow full color photos show Dr. Lam demonstrating warm up exercises and Tai Chi for Diabetes form. extensive resource section completes the picture.

Also a great lifestyle read for all people. For example, to reduce stress one might consider thought patterns, managing time, and assertiveness (pp 45-6). Relaxing with imagery, Yoga, meditation, and additional spiritual practices can help (p 48).

Tai Chi helps slow down the fast pace of modern life (p 650). Using mind power, and absorbing "digesting" Tai Chi until it gets into your body, your bones, and becomes part of you" is exactly it (p 168)! Tai Chi is meaningful physical workout and nourishing mental play. Letting go is summed up by Shelia Rae, '...we must learn to let go of the form, the perfectionism, and the ego' (p 159).

Living Well with Diabetes by Dr. Paul Lam and Dr. Pat Phillips is highly recommended along with companion Tai Chi for Diabetes DVD.

Hello Everyone,
I have some tips to Control Diabetes.

Dry the black berry seeds completely then grind and take in the morning.

- Drink the juice of tomato with salt and pepper every morning on empty stomach.

- Chew 4 – 5 neem leaves early in the morning.

- 2 teaspoon of powder fenugreek (methi) seeds taken daily in milk or 2 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds can also be swallowed whole daily or Fenugreek seed may be soaked in a cup of water overnight asnd only the water taken in the morning.

- Eating 10 fresh grown curry leaves every morning for 3 months is said to prevent diabetes due yo hereditary factors. It also cures diabetes due to obesity as the leaves have weight reducing properties.
